Bernard Design and Build Inc. is a full service, licensed and insured, design and construction company offering in-house architectural, landscape and interior design and build services.  It is owned and operated by Grayson and Emily Bernard, a husband-and-wife team with over 25 years combined experience in the residential construction industry.  

Emily Bernard is a registered Landscape Architect and Architectural Designer and also offers Interior Design services.  She holds a Bachelor in Landscape Architecture, graduating with distinction, and is a member of the Ontario Architecture Landscape Association and the Canadian  Society of Landscape Architects.   Emily also is a certified BCIN designer of buildings specializing in the architectural design of houses and small buildings up to 600sq.m (6458 sq.ft) and 3 stories in height.  With an artistic eye and proven knowledge of construction and the Ontario Building Code, Emily can provide detailed designs, permit coordination and construction drawings for architectural and landscape projects. Whether it's for a house, cottage, accessory structure, garage, accessory apartment, decks, pools, gardens or if you require assistance with conservation authorities or minor variances, Emily can help.

Grayson Bernard started his construction career 15 years ago in landscaping and carpentry. He has worked with every trade involved in residential construction and has specialized in tile, stone and finished carpentry.  Grayson has completed an outstanding array of residential construction projects including renovations, additions, accessory structures, legal apartments and landscapes,  always working hands on with his trades.  In 2022, he completed a full renovation and addition on his own house, a century home in a beautiful village outside of Collingwood.
